Dr. Michael Rip, PhD

Dr. Michael Rip is the founding director of the postgraduate Healthcare Management program in the Broad College of Business at Michigan State University. Born in Cape Town, South Africa, he graduated from the University of Cape Town and spent seven years working in the Department of Community Health at the University of Cape Town Medical School before immigrating to the USA. Before his current role, Dr. Rip was the founding director of the postgraduate Public Health program in the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University and worked for about 15 years in MSU’s Department of Epidemiology.
