Michael Hoffman is a former practicing attorney with extensive experience as a freelance journalist specializing in research and writing about higher education. He graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara and the Santa Barbara College of Law. Before becoming a professional writer, Hoffman worked for several years as a civil litigator in Los Angeles and also served as a development executive for a major film producer in Santa Monica, California.
